The Acoustasonic Standard Telecaster is the affordable way into Fender's hybrid idea. A fully chambered nyatoh body with a solid Sitka spruce top plays like a Tele, sounds like an acoustic unplugged at living room volume, and plugs in as either.

Two pickup systems do the work. A Fishman under-saddle transducer gives the acoustic voice and a Fender Shawbucker humbucker gives the electric one. A volume knob and a blend knob move between them. The Modern Deep C neck has a 12 inch radius rosewood fingerboard and 22 frets. For a singer who switches between strumming and lead in one set, it replaces two guitars.
